Dedicated to the memory of Peter Eastman
Peter Robert Eastman, born on 16th February 1929. Son of William and Annie Eastman as one of seven brothers and sisters - Annie, Nancy, Nelly, Maisie, Billy and lastly Eileen to whom he was very close.
Raised in North London, in war torn times, Dad joined the auxiliary forces and did his National Service helping those in need only to meet Mum, Alice Helen Husband, oddly to become just that, her husband and where they settled in Hemel Hempstead and where they remain to this day.
Over the next 70 years plus Dad took on many challenges in civil engineering, salesmanship, house management and in places that still stand. Some now forgotten as we drive under bridges, admire tall buildings or supermarkets that once bore the hand of his hard work.
Through good times and bad Dad and Mum have stood proud in support of their family - as those family members continue to spread their wings far and wide across the UK and the world.
Sad though it is of his passing on the 5th May 2024, those that knew our Dad will celebrate in their remembering his determination, steadfast attitude and always being at hand. And for that we are eternally grateful
